MINI BOX POUCH

I ran across this little “Box Pouch” on a tutorial from Make It Modern and I thought it was super cute so I decided to give it a whirl last night. I think it took me less than an hour, but now it could probably whip it up in 30 minutes. The design is actually a simple box bag pattern commonly used for toiletry bags. I have been meaning to make myself a proper toiletry bag so this was an excellent “mini” first start. It would be a darling little trinket or crayon bag for a kid (after all it is pretty small – under 5 inches long finished), though it definitely needs a little handle. But I can always add that on.

Next time, I am going to adjust the size to make it bigger and line it with some plastic to make it water proof. And add a handle of course! I will post some pics of my toiletry bag after I make it.

Until later, happy sewing!
