I’m back again for the second version of “You Sew Rock Me Fridays” with 10 awesome projects (in no particular order) that I happened to come across this week while surfing the World Wide Craft Web.

Ok, so you guys sooooo totally wow’ed me this week! I think it is kind of funny several of these are things that I was already thinking about doing and in some cases, I already have the supplies sitting here on my craft table! Maybe I should get to work on them! :)

Project #1

Jessica at Decor Adventures did this Wax Paper Capiz Shell Chandelier. Not only is this chandelier absolutely gorgeous but I totally love finding ways to use everyday materials in an out of the box sort of way. Wax paper…who would have known?!? I put up a chandelier over my dining table last year during my remodel and I have to say I just don’t love it…I will have to see if there is a way I can bling it out with something like this.

Project #2

Ashlee at I’m Topsy Turvy did this Double Trellis Wall Stencil. I’ve seen several versions of this type of wall design but I think this is one of my favorites. The other ones require me to trace around something using a paintbrush and since I am kind of crazy about needing straight lines to be absolutely perfect, I don’t know if I can do it. I like that this is a stencil. And I have to wonder…how the heck did she get this so straight? I mean…wow! I am thinking about doing a stencil like this on my brownish/greenish kitchen wall and thankfully my space is tiny compared to this one!

Project #3

Maria at Our Lake Life did this Ballard Inspired Painting. It’s pretty much like the pointillism technique that I learned in high school except with big dots of paint. I actually have been thinking about doing this kind of painting as part of a big project I have planned for November (it’s a secret…shhhh), so I was so excited that someone else was doing it too!

Project #4

Linden from Linden & Lace did this Spooky Wax Art.

This picture came out really nice but what I thought was so awesome was the technique she used. CRAYONS……in a……HOT GLUE GUN….um, say what? Have I been under a craft rock or something because I have never heard of this. I am sooooo going to have to do this sometime.

Project #5

Janny from i que linda made a free downloadable Chevron Design Worksheet that uses Microsoft Excel to plan out how to paint a chevron wall. Can we say genius? I always wondered how you even go about starting this and how to decide on how big you want the strips. Now I just have to figure out what wall I can chevron up in here.

Project #6

Christy from Christy’s Cuties made this bracelet inspired by one she saw on Pinterest. One thing I notice about a lot of the jewelry out there today is that it is “over-blinged”…but this is so simple yet so pretty, and super easy to make! I’m thinking It would be great to make a necklace to match. These would make awesome holiday gifts!

Project # 7

Nicole at Crafty Soccer Mom made these Pom Pom Gloves. Move over jazz hands! How cool are these for kids and sports fans? And the best part are that they are super easy to make! I would love to make some purple and gold ones for my LSU tigers…or maybe black and gold for my New Orleans Saints. Yet another thing to add to the list of neat things to make for gifts!

Project # 8

Stephanie Lynn from Under the Table and Dreaming made this Wooden Shim Wall Art. What a fabulous looking piece of art with inexpensive materials! This is actually a project she posted in January and I was lucky enough to run across it while surfing through her tutorials. I am totally obsessed with things made out of rustic-looking wood! Remember the Coffee Stirrer Art from last week’s You Sew Rock Me? I think you could totally combine these elements and make something totally rad. I’ll have to see what I can do with these wooden shims in the future!

Project #9

Kitty from A Law Student’s Journey did these Glass Bottle Wind Chimes. I have seen a ton of the explanations on how to cut glass bottles with nail polish remover and string (Kitty explains it here), but I have never actually seen something so cool made with the cut glass! Usually people just do vases or glasses or something. I actually have a stash of beer bottles waiting to work on this project so I am super excited to make some of these!

Project #10

Becca from From Garderners 2 Bergers made this Ceramic Elephant. But here’s the secret…{shhhh}…she puts spackle over paper mache to make a fake ceramic figure….um, awesome! I first saw Becca’s post this summer and it inspired me to try it. So I bought a big paper mache letter J (I already had a bunch of spackle because I am handy)…well, 4 months later and it is still sitting on my counter. I actually kind of forgot about it until this little elephant popped up on a linky party this week. Eventually I will do my letter J and it will be awesome. And by the way what a fabulous color of green to use…love it!

Well there you have it kids….10 great new things to try out! I hope this gives you some inspiration to make something awesome this week. I’m hoping to get a few projects knocked out this weekend, wish me luck!
