Hey kids, it’s Friday again so that means another installment of “You Sew Rock Me Fridays” with 10 awesome projects that I happened to come across this week while surfing the World Wide Craft Web. Some are old, some are new, all are borrowed but none will make you blue! Ok, that was corny…

Many of the projects I choose tend to be technique related, but I have been looking hard for projects that would be fun and easy gifts so I will to try to mix in some more of these ideas from now until Christmas.

Project #1

Aimee from Artsyville made these Groovy Doodle Cards. These are so great and look like something you would find in an expensive boutique store!

Project #2

Alissa from 33 Shades of Green made these Hyperturfa Pots. I love the organic look!

Project #3

Shannon from Madigan Made did these super easy Scarf Wine Bags. Who wouldn’t want one of these? And there certainly shouldn’t be a shortage of cheap scarves this time of the year.

Project #4

Erin from Dog Under My Desk made these Circle Zip Earbud Pouches. Um, fan-tab-u-lous! This is actually one of the first projects that I “StumbledUpon”. If you haven’t Stumbled yet, look it up. But I have to warn you that it is just as addicting as Pinterest!

I can’t tell you how much I love these for the simple fact that they are easy and incredibly useful. It frustrates me to no end that everytime I pull out my ipod (I’m rockin’ the dinosaur generation 3) the headphones are all tangled. Sooooo frustrating. I keep meaning to do something about it but I don’t. Now I have a solution. I have also been deciding what to make my nieces and nephews for Christmas and this is perfect! I can’t wait to make a bunch.

Project #5

Heather from The Other White House made these Leaf Skeletons. This would make a great framed gift for those nature lovers.

Project #6

Amy from Inspired Ideas did these Making Memories Candles using a transfer made out of clear contact paper. You can also use the same method with packing tape for small projects.

Project #7

Debbie from Re-fresh Re-style made these Air Dry Clay Tags. This is just proof that crafting doesn’t have to be complicated!

If you want to DIY your clay, you can try the air-dry recipe I found from Busy Bee Kids Crafts that will probably work. If anyone makes this clay, let me know if you like it or not. I will have to give it a whirl sometime.

Project #8

Diane from Craft Stylish made these Embossed Metal Tins. I think this is the first project that I have seen that uses aluminum foil tape from the hardware store.

Be sure to check out the member project gallery below because they actually did the embossing with heavy weight aluminum foil and double-sided duct tape. Very interesting.

Project #9

Stevie from Moore Babies made this Ribbon and Pearls Necklace. Simple and cute!

Project #10

Katie from Matsuke made these absolutely gorgeous DIY Moroccan Lamps. I think it would be even better if you could use the glass cutting technique to cut off the rim of the jar. Or you could possibly even cover it with clay and paint over it…that way you wouldn’t see the threads.

Well, there you go…I hope you will agree these projects are as awesome as I think they are! Now go out and make something :)
