Yesterday I went to a baby shower for my friend Carrie. Since the beginning of last year I have vowed to make gifts rather than buy them (I have so much fabric it’s ridiculous) so I whipped baby Will up a few things.

I made this name banner for his room.

I’ve never used this brown polka dot fabric for a name banner before but I love it…it looks super cute but not girly. Here’s a close up:

Carrie went to school at Texas A&M so I made her some Aggie-themed baby stuff. 2 burp cloths, a pacifier leash, and a onesie appliqued with a piece of the A&M fabric I was using. I made all this yesterday morning so I was running really late and I had to snap a quick pic outside.

Carrie actually got a bunch of handmade gifts…I didn’t realize how many crafty friends she had. I wish I would have taken pics of it all. But I did take a pic of a diaper cake that my friend Janet made. It came out great! I shot it at a bunch of angles so you could see all the stuff.

As you can see she used a platter as a base and then put all the diapers on top in tiers. How easy is this!?! Love it!

I’m sure Carrie and baby Will are going to enjoy all their new stuff!
