I just wanted to pass along a money saving tip on doing dishes that I have been using for a few years now.
Cut your dish sponges in HALF! That’s right half! I got this tip from my sister Christie and it’s genius!
I promise they aren’t too small…just try it out. You will totally waste fewer sponges like this…who needs that giant thing anyway? Everyone that I have told this to has totally converted to mini sponges.
Also, I like to use different colors of (half) sponges – one for dishes, and one for the counter. And when your sponge needs a little refresh, put it in a bowl of water (or vinegar…thanks for the tip Holly!) and microwave it for 2 minutes. That is supposed to kill off 99% of the bacteria. And when it’s finally dead, throw that little sponge out and use the other half!
Until later, happy saving!

Mini Sponges is a great idea! I will be doing this from now on. Also, another tip, rather than putting the sponge in the microwave with water, try white vinigar not only is that a bacteria killer it will also help loosen up gunk from the inside of your microwave making it easier to clean. 2 birds, 1 stone:)
Great tip!! :) Thanks for sharing!
This is an easy and great idea to save some money. These days every little bit counts.

That is a great tip! I also cut my Mr Clean Erasers in half. I’m addicted to those things!!
