Happy Leap Day! I can’t believe I am already 2 months into this project…I keep thinking I am going to run out of stuff to take pictures of but then I figure something out. I’ll tell you if I still feel like that on month #6. Anyway, I went to the Bay Area Park on the way home to see what was happening and I caught a few good pics.
I had to go to my college class today and when I was taking pictures of some flowers I spied this caterpillar.
On the way to work there is a waterway connecting to Clear Lake that is full of all these white birds at sunrise and sunset. Because I was a leaving school a little later than normal, I finally got to stop and take some pictures of them before it got too dark.
I went on a 5 mile walk today around the lakes and I kept noticing that only one little area of Pine Trees have had male pine cones on them for the past couple of weeks. So after my walk I went home and grabbed my camera so I could finally take a picture.
As you know I have been doing a ton of photography this year. I even have a new Canon Rebel T3i being shipped to me this week…I am soooo excited! Anyway, I have been doing more in Photoshop lately trying to spruce up some pictures. I know a good bit about photoshop since I have been using it since I was in high school, but I stumbled upon some sites lately where I learned about photoshop actions. Um, where have these been all my life?!?
I went out to Seabrook just before sunset to hopefully catch some pelicans out by the water. Surprisingly there weren’t many birds. Except for this Laughing Gull (Larus atricilla).
It was windy out and I was trying to get some pictures of the wave action in the pool and I spotted this leaf floating in the water.
I stopped by the Clear Creek Nature Center on the way home and I just got out the car when I spotted this guy in an open grass area.
I went by the little pond by my house and in a bush I spotted this funny looking bug so after a bunch of tries I finally got a picture! Man do they not like to stand still for the camera! :)
I was driving around in a rural neighborhood by my house to find something interesting to take a picture of and I saw 3 horses in a field so I decided to stop.
