SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19TH
Ok I need to stop taking so many pictures. I can’t decide on which one to post some days. I used to post all the ones I took but that is time consuming. But I finally decided on this one since it was the first real wildflower I’ve seen this year.
This is the Indian Paintbrush (Casilleja indivisa). I found it in on the side of the road near Texas City. I love how the blue sky is contrasting the bright flower. This is the first day we’ve seen blue skies (and no rain) in a while. It was definitely a great day to be outside!
Here’s a close up view. What a pretty flower! I can’t wait until the Bluebonnets come out!
I also got a few good shots of some Brown Pelicans and some yellow flowers too…I’ll have to post those later.
