As you know I have been doing a ton of photography this year. I even have a new Canon Rebel T3i being shipped to me this week…I am soooo excited! Anyway, I have been doing more in Photoshop lately trying to spruce up some pictures. I know a good bit about photoshop since I have been using it since I was in high school, but I stumbled upon some sites lately where I learned about photoshop actions. Um, where have these been all my life?!?
The most awesome site I have found for actions so far is The CoffeeShop Blog. Rita is a whiz with photoshop and she offers all of her actions for FREE. Anyway, the first one I decided to play around with was Vintage Golden. It was pretty easy. If you don’t know how to use actions, she provides an explanation on how to install them and you can google it too. I so don’t know enough about using them to walk you through it just yet.
Anyway, I started with this picture of my doxie Cooper that I took this afternoon. It was ok…a little blah.
But then I ran Coopie through the Vintage Golden action. Here’s vintage Coopie:
He’s so cute!!! And I love how this picture came out! So I put a few more pictures through the action.
Here’s a vintage Egret:
A vintage flower bush (I actually changed the color balance a bit to make the green stand out a little more):
A vintage Marina in Kemah, TX:
I can’t wait to try some more of Rita’s awesome actions! You can get her Vintage Golden action HERE for FREE.
Until later, happy photoshopping!
