FRIDAY, MARCH 30TH

I was on my way home and I saw this guy grazing in a field.

I was on my way home and I saw this guy grazing in a field.

I came home to find my very first wildflower growing in my backyard this year!
I went out to take some pictures of the bluebonnets by my house and I spied this little guy on the way home.
I stopped at the Clear Creek Park on the way home and photographed some wildflowers (of course…I have to get as many in before they go away!). This exotic-looking beauty was my favorite!
I was out and about near my house and I spied these cool looking wildflowers sprouting seeds.
I read the Hunger Games series over Spring Break while I was camping at Big Bend and loved it of course! When I got home, I called my sister to tell her that my 12 year old niece Alexis had to read them and she told me that Alexis was already on book #2! I was so excited! So Alexis and I chatted on the phone about the book and she asked me the most important question you could possibly ask…”are you Team Peeta or Team Gale?” I said, “Of course, Team Peeta!” So I knew what I had to make her!
It was a beautiful blue sky day today so I went down the highway to Texas City to see if any more wildflowers were blooming where I found the Indian Paintbrushes last month. They didn’t really have any flowers I haven’t shot yet but I did see some butterflies!
Back in January I committed myself to doing a Project 365 for 2012, where I take a picture everyday. I had a pretty good little camera (a step below a DSLR) but I using auto all the time and had no idea how to use all the settings. Well, then my bloggy friend Amy over at It’s Overflowing started doing a (free) photography course and I have learned a ton following along. Of course I am kind of a procrastinator so I never did her “homework” from each lesson. But I was doing pretty well not using the auto settings, until I got my new T3i and it is way more complex (and a little scary)…so I am stuck on auto again! I thought now would be a good time to go back and redo some lessons!
I went home early from work because I didn’t feel well so I was stuck with a picture from the house again. Since Spring is here now there have been more bugs out so that means more bugs trapped in the pool.
